Q: How is the Christmas season (so far) different in Munich than it was in Schwenningen or Weiner Neustadt?
A: That#s a hard one to answer... well, there's way more stuff than Schwenningen, but it's not like it was in Wien. The weather is milder, and come to think of it, since WN was a small city, the christmas was all concentrated in the middle. We will go to a Christmas markt in Marianplatz today, so we'll see what's up here.
They've got some Christmas markets up now here. We went to two today. The one was pretty small, and the other one was super big. It was basically a repeat of Oktoberfest, on the same grounds.
We're going to be decorating soon too, the tree should go up this week, and I'm enjoying my advent calender (the others really like it too),
Q: How are your investigators?
A: This week has been a dry week with regard to investigators, we've been meeting with a lot of members to try to get the christmas iniciative going. P is hard to contact, but C hopefully will come tomorrow, which would bring him one step closer to baptism.
And, as one interesting thought, you know that people actually wear dierndl and lederhosen here right? Like I've seen quite a few people wearing both during my time on the mission, and not just during Oktoberfest either! It was funny to see rebekah in a Dirndl there for that reason! It totally is part of the culture here!
Have a good week!
