12/14/15 The transfers were kind of hecktic, but I think I brought everything, and I didn't forget anything. I did almost forget my flash drive though! I just grabbed it out of the DVD player right before I went to bed the night before. Then we got up at 4 in the morning, and we caught the train to villingen, then took a train from villingen to Singen. We then met up with Elders Bowler (going home), Tholen (staying), Elder and Sister Lee (driving to munich, and then going home), and Sisters Fenton, Wonson, and the two sisters from friburg. I don't remember what their names where (maybe one was sister Fast?), but we took a two hour train from Singen to Ulm, and all of our baggage (should have taken a picture, sorry!) took up half of the whole car! In addition, only one of the sisters in friburg was supposed to come with us, the other one should have stayed with the Lees in Singen, but the door closed behind her, and she had to just get off alone at the next stop! That was hillarious to see the lees faces out the window, watching in bewilderment as we pulled off! Then I did a Tschuss book or two, and helped sister wonson decorate a few planners. We then pulled into Ulm, and got on an ICE train, or in other words, one of the REALLY nice trains with compartments and everything! We took that one to munich, and then I saw elder Croft, and a ton of other elders and sisters from all over the mission (elder Croft went to highland and was a year older than me), and then we took the train to Wien (vienna). I talked to elder Gappmyer and elder Gibbs on the train about tons of stuff, like D&D, and even XKCD and some of the youtube chanels we both knew, like Extra Credits.
12/21/15 Wow! Has it ever been a week! Or two weeks and two days
So I have a new companion, and I'm in a new area. Today is Sunday, and I've been here for about a week and three days, since last Thursday. Today was the Christmas party in this new ward, wiener neustadt. They have a really cool ward here, with lots of really great members. Today because of the Weihnachtsfeier I got to meet a lot of cool people, like the Schafer family, and the two students staying at the enekels right now. We sang "du kleines Städtchen Bethlehem" in sacrament meeting, is missionaries, and I sang tenor, Elder Chilcutt sang melody, and both sisters (Pratt and Hollosen) sang alto together. We practiced yesterday at the Piñol family's house, and José, the dad, is hilarious! We will be spending part of Christmas Eve with their family. I'm also super glad to be working with Elder Chilcutt, and to be working in this area, and with this ward, and with the sisters here, and everything!
