To start off, I have a piece of surprising news. As fate may have it, there has been a change in my release date. My release will now be on the 20th of April, not the 27th of April. This was a bit of a shock to me, and I've actually been expecting it for the last little while, since I have been seeing that new missionaries will be coming into the mission on the 20th.
I had interviews with president this week, and he said that, since you have made plans that may be impossible or costly to change, I can just stay a week longer and leave then. The mission president has that much leeway in when the release is.
You might get an email from him explaining that, FYI.
You're gong to love the pictures from Thanksgiving at the Kohlers, we brought lederhosen and wore them after dinner to take the "family pictures," (the most normal of) which will be included in the mission slideshow we will be making. We played a card game with sister Kohler. We also had of course a delicious turkey dinner, and loved being together with the office staff. The person next to the head of the table btw. is a member related to the Kohlers.
We met with C yesterday, and set a baptismial date for January 2017. F/T is doing pretty well, but we don't know how she will get to church, since she's so far away. D had a great time on Sunday, and we think he went to Institute on wednesday. Church will be switching in January to the afternoon time, 14.00 to be specific, and that should help people to be able to come.
I am probably most thankful for my companions, who make it possible for me to keep doing the work I'm doing and not freak out!
Elder Johnson is great, he's got a maturaty that he didn't have before, but he's still random and knows how to keep it light. Example: he always talks in a british accent. He's from bountiful, Utah :).
We're going to be going to a member's house to play D&D again. I don't know, but I hope their friend is there again, Z is his name. He is super cool, and we would love it if he came tonight to the party. Speaking of which, the ward is having a Hawaiian party tonight, hosted by the F family, who are visiting for a few months.
I'm super excited too for everything that is coming. Thank you for your letters and your prayers.
Love, Elder Lingen
