It's been Christmas, we've talked about lighting the world in 25 days, 25 ways, we've done sub for santas and given gifts -- but now what? Where do we go from here? How do we now walk across the street and find a way to serve our neighbor?
Answer:
The question that you asked kind of touched something for me. "How do we now walk across the street and find a way to serve our neighbor?" I think the answer is found in Mosiah 18:8-10.
The secret is just to be there for them, to have that emotional connection, to support them. There's a triangle our mission president always draws, God is the top corner, we are the left corner, and the investigator is the right corner. There are three relationships here, the three sides of the triangle. Our job is to help the investigator come closer to God, and we need our two sides to be close for that to be possible. What I'm trying to say is, give what's most important, give them you. Be there for them. Be their friend.
I love you, have a great new year!
