OK, well, earlier this week we met with an investigator couple. The discussion seemed to be more like a argument at some points, then all of a sudden it was like a spiritual blast, then an argument, then a blast, etc. The last discussion was kind of like this too, and I was worried that it would happen again, but I realized part way through the discussion, that this is a problem WE have, and not the discussion or the investigator or the member. WE need to be the ones to work on the teaching, whereas before I shifted the blame. In addition, after I told them about reading and praying about the BOM, they (and this was out of nowhere) almost blurted out: "What time does church start again? When can we come?" I feel like they really could be on the level, if you know what I mean, they seem to be able to taste the truth. He even said during the discussion, "I find it extremely interesting what you taught last time, how your priesthood actually comes from somewhere!" And I almost dropped my books! They are so great!
I am a college student studying material science, and an LDS missionary. I enjoy collecting old video games and super soakers. I love learning, whether it's math, science, or religion, and I love sharing things that I've learned with other people, especially if it opens up their mind to new ideas.
